  • 500g – Middleton’s Plain Sponge
  • 250ml – Water
  • 500g – Middleton Chocolate Sponge
  • 250ml – Water

METHOD

Method

  • Weigh out Middleton’s plain sponge mix into bowl and add water, beat for 1 minute of slow speed.
  • Scrape down and beat for a further 4 minutes on medium speed.
  • Repeat steps 1 & 2 for Middleton’s chocolate sponge mix.
  • When both mixes have been made, alternate putting into a lined gastro tin with plain sponge and chocolate sponge and swirl mix to get a marble effect when cooking.
  • Bake for 25 – 30 minutes at 175oC in the Turbofan. Baking times may vary depending on type of oven used.
