Meet The Team

Ryan has now completed over 30 years working for the Middleton Group and is the Sales Manager on the Fast Food and Glaze Divisions. Working his way through the company, Ryan has extensive knowledge of the fish and chip industry and has sat on various trade steering and judging panels and has also been President of the trade association NEODA. A lover of football, cricket and rugby as well as a gin and tonic whilst watching. Partial to a good curry and obviously, fish and chips.

Pete has been with Middleton’s for 9 years as our General Manager. With an extensive background in the foodservice industry, Pete has held positions at authority of several of the UK’s leading distribution companies over 35 years. Pete has been the driving force behind many of our projects over the last few years and works with all the teams within the business. Famed for his sharp wit, Pete is an avid pool player, long suffering supporter of Port Vale FC and lover of 70’s Rock.

Lee has over 27 years’ experience in the Fish and Chip industry. Lee has covered all aspects of the trade from selling sundries to running a shop, selling frying ranges and shop layout design. Having been a part of the original Middleton’s batter boys from 1992-2000 he re-joined the team in 2013, covering the North West of England, North Wales and parts of the Home Counties.Lee is always on hand to give advice to new or experienced operators. At the weekends you will find Lee at the Molineux supporting his beloved Wolves, playing cards and drinking G&T with friends or cooking low and slow on his Kamado Joe BBQ.

Wayne has worked in the fish & chip trade for 28 years, beginning his career in a packaging manufacturing business before becoming a sales manager for a fish & chip distributor. With a developing interest in ingredients and a passion for fish and chips he began to sell batters, breadings and coatings, learning his trade with experienced fish fryers and lab technicians enabling him to fill his potential for Middleton Foods where he has worked since 2017. Wayne is a family man living in Kent who likes travelling and socialising. He follows Crystal Palace and plays golf. When he’s not doing any of those, you’ll find him building something in the house.

Jason started his career in fish and chips in 1997 with Plymouth Agencies working his way up to Warehouse Manager and to Sales Manager in his 18 years employment with them. Jason then enjoyed a 3 years sales role with Friars Pride before his passion for fish and chips enabled him to further his ambitious career with Middleton Foods where he has been a Regional Development Manager for two and a half years. Jason is a social West Country lad who likes a good pasty but hates vegetables. He is into his cars, follows rallying and has a passion for mountain biking. Jason loves to travel and explore obscure places learning about their history

Ayesha has been with Middleton’s for nearly 20 years and has worked her way from shop floor to supervisory roles and then onto the Production Manager across our entire factory. Ayesha works closely with various sections of the business to ensure that our customers always have the goods they need when they need them and this has become a hallmark of our business. Outside of work, Ayesha spends time with family, has a new grandson and is always happy to be enjoying cocktails with the girls.

Anthony has been with Middleton for over 13 years and leads our NPD team on the glazes, seasonings and flavours side of the business. He has been involved in the industry for over 25 years and has worked on many of the major projects that we have secured over the last 10 years including work into the fast food, foodservice, retail and industrial sectors. His ability to adapt his skills to various systems has been at the forefront of our growth. Outside of Middletons, Ant enjoys a local beer, some good food on the BBQ and time with his family. He is a West Bromwich Albion season ticket holder and despite this, still loves sport!

Ramsay started out in the trade at Jesse Robinson in Nottingham over 38 years ago and has worked in all aspects of selling and supplying to the fish and chip industry. Working for Friars Pride for many years Ramsay has an extensive knowledge of the trade and customers in the East Midlands and eastern England and has been with Middletons for nearly 20 years. Outside of work, Ramsay is a keen treasure hunter and detectorist and can be found on a golf course whenever he can.

Michelle has been with Middleton’s for nearly 20 years and runs the NPD and QC department for the fish and chip division. Michelle controls the quality and evaluation of all the base flour that is used for the production of our famous fish and chip batters and works with the sales team to develop own label and branded products. Outside of work, Michelle is a devoted mother and grandmother and spends as much time with family as she can (even putting up with watching football!)…she also makes a mean cocktail or two!

Dean has been with the Middleton group for over 33 years and has been a specialist on the fast food division for the last 15 years. Dean covers the Midlands, South Wales and Northern Ireland and also is the face of Middleton Foods in many of our ‘how to’ Videos. Away from work, Dean has completed Tri-Athlons and enjoys keeping fit. He is a proud father and grandfather and is a long suffering supporter of Newcastle United FC.

Before Simon graced Middleton Foods with his charming personality and good looks he plied his trade in the Hospitality and Food Service Industry for over twenty years given rise to his passion for all things food related. The limited spare time Simon has away from Middletons he loves to train and watch his two young grandsons play football, longing and hoping they will one day walk out in blue for his beloved Portsmouth FC. Any further spare time Simon is relentlessly trying to source the worlds greatest gin, he says he still hasn’t found THE ONE and vows not to end his search until he succeeds.

Jeremy has been with Middleton Foods since October 2022, before that he spent 38 years with Unilever and Upfield Professional. He has many years' experiences within the Food Service sector and specialises in our contract catering, education and social channels. He is a keen runner and loves watching rugby.

Russell has been with Middleton Foods for the last 3 years and is the Regional Sales Manager for Ireland, he is a chef and development chef with over 25 years’ experience in a wide variety of different styles of kitchen. He is family man with three young daughters and is also a big fan of the greatest football team on the planet Liverpool FC, at the weekends he is connoisseur of fine kebabs and lager.

Trish has worked in the Bar and catering industry for over 20 years, starting off with managing bars throughout the UK. Trish moved into the sales industry 12 years ago for a change in direction whilst still working within the Food industry. Trish has been with Middleton Food Products as a National Account manager for 7 years. Outside of work Trish is a keen gym goer and runner who likes to complete 10k runs and is due to run her first half marathon in 2023 Massive Gaelic supporter and will watch her Native Co.Tyrone team play at any time! She still loves a good drink with her friends and family.

Justin Clarke, Business Development Chef at Middleton Foods, is our newest recruit, bringing exceptional culinary expertise and a passion for innovation. Classically trained in the Royal Air Force, Justin’s impressive career spans roles from private chef to remote locations like Mount Kent in the Falklands. He’s developed products for Waitrose, Ginsters, BP forecourts, and M&S, with many creations still loved today. Previously with Nestlé Professional for nearly 15 years, Justin drove success with brands like Maggi and Garden Gourmet. Outside work, Justin is a family man, outdoor enthusiast, and street food lover, combining his culinary skills with hobbies like crafting homemade bait as a dedicated carp angler.

Luke has been with the Middletons company for 10 years. Working in all areas of the business, Quality control, production, transport and now product development. Having a great relationship with school education from the foodservice industry Luke uses his skills to present concept ideas to show how versatile the Middletons range is. Those skills have been developed over 18 years of working in catering which includes working previously at his home football ground, Wolverhampton Wanderers in Sir Jack’s restaurant and conference and banqueting ranging from annual events and A La Carte menus. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with family and friends and especially watching the Wolves on game day.
